Group and youth discount
We offer discounts to young runners (25y and younger) and groups of 5 people or more:
- Group discount: We offer a 15 % discount for groups with 5 or more runners. Please contact us via email at info@helsinkimarathon.fi for the discount.
- Youth discount: Are you 25 years old or younger (born 2000 or later) on the event day? You’ll get a 25 % discount on your registration fee by using code NUORISO25.
The offers are valid for a limited time and cannot be combined with any other discounts.

We will accept following payment methods:

- Visa and Mastercard payments
- Sport vouchers: ePassi, Edenred, Smartum

Conditions
CANCELLING YOUR PARTICIPATION
No cancellations of participation are required, unfortunately it is not possible to get a refund.
TRANSFER OF PARTICIPATION
It is possible to buy transfer insurance, which allows you to transfer the registration to next year’s Björn Borg Helsinki Marathon or to use the paid amount for another event participation. The price of transfer insurance is 10 euros. The transfer can be made only once.
If transfer insurance has not been acquired at the time of registration, the customer has the right to transfer the registration for the event to another person for a transfer fee of 10 euros, but not the right to transfer the registration to another event or to the following year.
The organizer will not refund the paid registration fee.
- Transfer to another person
You can transfer your participation to another person (until 15.8.2025) for a transfer fee of 10 euros.
Note: Registrations paid with sport vouchers cannot be transferred to another person.
- Transfer to next year’s Björn Borg Helsinki Marathon (requires transfer insurance)
If the participant has purchased transfer insurance at the time of registration, it is possible to transfer participation to next year’s event by 22.8.2025.
- Transfer to another event (requires transfer insurance)
If the participant has purchased transfer insurance at the time of registration, it is possible to transfer the entry for another Runner’s High event (until 22.8.2025). After the transfer request your registration will be cancelled, and you will get a discount code worth the same amount of money you paid for your original registration.
- Another distance at Björn Borg Helsinki Marathon 2025
You can transfer your participation to a shorter distance at Björn Borg Helsinki Marathon without an extra fee until 22.8.2025. After that we will charge 10 € for the transfer. If you want to transfer your participation to a longer distance, the fee is the difference between the fee paid for the original registration, and the current fee of the new distance (but a minimum of 10 €). The transfer has to be made by 22.8.2025.
How can I transfer my participation?
When transferring your participation to another event or person, or to next year, please contact info (at) helsinkimarathon.fi with the following information:
- Name of the original participant
- Name of the person who will make the new registration (if participation is to be transferred to another person)
- To which event the transfer will be made
After the transfer request you will receive more detailed instructions by email.
FORCE MAJEURE
If the event has to be cancelled or cannot be held due to a force majeure, you are entitled to a refund of the registration fee. You must request the refund from the event organizer within 30 days of the organizer’s announcement of the event’s cancellation. However, the organizer is not responsible for any delays or damages resulting from the event’s cancellation or postponement due to force majeure, and you are not entitled to compensation for any additional or useless expenses incurred, such as accommodation or travel costs. Force majeure is an event or occurrence beyond the control of the organizer which the organizer could not reasonably be expected to have taken into account at the time of the conclusion of the contract or to have avoided or overcome it or its consequences. Force majeure comprehends both natural disasters and events such as civil unrest, risk to general safety, orders of public authorities or other superior force that prevents the organizing of the event.
If your name is on the participant list (and you’ve given us permission to publish it there), or you’ve received a confirmation email, your registration is in order. If you have any questions regarding your registration, please contact us via email at info@helsinkimarathon.fi
Participants will run at their own responsibility at the event. The organizer has not specifically insured the runners for accidents, injuries or any other situation. Inclusive leisure insurance is recommended for all the participants. First aid is located in the course and in the finish area.
The event organizers will have full rights to publish the photos and video material taken during the event. We will also publish some of the pictures and videos on our social media channels.
Conditions 2022
Cancelling your participation
If you cancel your entry latest 7 days from the date you did the registration (and latest 30 days before the event), it’s possible to get the refund of your ticket. In this case an additional 10 € fee will be charged.
No cancellations of participation are required starting 21.7.2022. If you cancel your entry 21.7.2022 or later, or more than 7 days after the registration was made, unfortunately it’s not possible to get the refund.
Transfer of registration
It is possible to transfer your participation to
1. Next Helsinki Marathon
With a medical certificate transfer to the next year’s race is possible against a transfer fee of 5 EUR until 20.7.2022. After that transfer fee is 10 EUR. Transfer has to be made no later than 19.8.2022.
2. Another person
You can transfer your participation to another person (until 13.8.2022). After transfer request your registration will be cancelled, and you will get a discount code worth the same amount of money you paid for your registration, and that discount code can be used when new person will make a registration. If the registration fee is less than 5 € higher when the transfer request is made, then discount code will be 5 € less than the current registration fee.
Note: Registration paid with sport vouchers cannot be transferred to another person.
3. Another event
You can also transfer the entry for another #werunhelsinki event (Helsinki10 or Helsinki Half Marathon) until 19.8.2022. After transfer request your registration will be cancelled, and you will get a discount code worth the same amount of money you paid for your registration, and that discount code can be used when new person will make a registration. If the registration fee for the event in question is less than 5 € higher when the transfer request is made, then discount code will be 5 € less than the current registration fee.
4. Another distance at Helsinki Marathon 2022
You can transfer your participation to shorter distance at Helsinki Marathon without extra fee until 31.7.2022. After that we will charge 10 € for the transfer. If you want to transfer your participation to the longer distance, the fee is the difference between the fee paid for the original registration, and the current fee of the new distance. Transfer has to be made at latest 13.8.2022.
